| Welcome |
Welcome to Bedford Speakers! We are a friendly club, committed to helping members develop their communication skills leading to increasing self-confidence.
Despite these serious objectives we have relaxed and informative meetings; sometimes serious, sometimes humorous. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 19:15 for 19:30 at the Fox & Hounds pub. Do come and see for your self. or visit our website for more about us. |

A WARM WELCOME TO AREA 44
Hello and welcome, my name is Jim Reynolds and I am area 44 governor for the year starting 1st July 2010. I came to Toastmasters rather late in life and wish I had known about the organisation 30 years earlier. Since joining I have seen what a huge difference being a member can make to someones confidence, public speaking ability and leadership skills. This organisation has something to offer every one, in particular a safe and supportive environment to develop these skills. Why not come to a meeting and find out for yourself?
We have 4 active clubs in area 44
Bedford Speakers who meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 19:15 for 19:30 at the Fox & Hounds pub, Goldington, Road Bedford MK40 3EB
Eldergate Toastmasters who meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 17:45 p.m. at the National Badminton Centre (just off the H4), Milton Keynes, MK8 9LG
North Bucks Speakers who meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 19:15 for 19:30 at the Well at Willen, Newport Road, Willen, Milton Keynes MK15 9AA.
All 3 of the clubs above thrive on receiving visitors and will make every one feel comfortable during their visit. All seek to achieve the same goals of helping members develop their speaking ability and confidence as well their leadership skills. It is the members who define the character of a club and as the members are different so are the clubs. Why not visit them all to see which one suits you?
We also have an advanced Toastmasters Club, Cornerstone, whose members are already experienced Toastmasters and belong to other clubs in area 44 and beyond. This club has been formed to enable the members to further enhance their skills and follows a different agenda to the other clubs, who are better suited to receive newcomers. The club meets on the 3rd Monday of every month at 19.30 for 19.45 at the Premier Inn, London Road, St Albans AL3 8HT (just off Junction 9 of the M1).

Welcome to Division G!
Hello, Im Graham Frost, and from July 1 2010 until June 30 2011 I have the privilege of being Division G Governor for Toastmasters International within District 71 the UK and Ireland. Division G covers a large geographic area between part of Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, North West London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Lincolnshire.
If you are interested in joining Toastmasters International and have found your way to this page Welcome! I joined Toastmasters in 2003 because I needed the confidence to speak in front of large groups of people, and I have found that Toastmasters International provides the quickest acting and most cost-effective self development programme in the world. (I am indebted to a fellow member for that last sentence!). You will find information on clubs in your area here and I hope to meet you soon!
If you are already a member of Toastmasters International in the UK and Ireland, I pledge to do all I can to help our clubs look after their members well in my year as Division Governor. My contact details are below please feel free to contact me if you have any ideas on how I can achieve my pledge.
I am fortunate to have two excellent Assistant Division Governors in James McGinty, our Immediate Past Division G Governor, who is staying on the team to support and develop our new clubs, and Ann Nunn, Immediate Past Area 25 Governor, who will be organising our two annual Division G contest events.
You can contact me on 01733 311288 or 07766 916317 or by email at tmgrahamf@hotmail.com
