Welcome
Welcome to Dominion Speakers
Welcome to Dominion Speakers. Our club (launched by MWH) first opened its doors in October 2007 and we became Chartered in April 2009. The name 'Dominion' Speakers was chosen at the time to reflect the office location that the meetings were initially held in. Over time 'Dominion' Speakers has cast its net to many of our colleagues in other MWH offices and is now often referred to as 'MWH speakers'. Dominion/MWH Speakers is open to all so you don't have to work for MWH to attend one of our meetings.

Come and sample the atmosphere, for free, at the next meeting and see if it is right for you.

We guarantee a warm welcome, a fun and interesting hour or two, with no pressure exerted on you to join.

I look forward to seeing you soon.

Katie Crook
President of Dominion Speakers

Welcome to Area 48!
Hello and welcome to Toastmasters in Northwest England!

We are area 48 of District 71 and our primary aim is to provide a supportive and safe environment where people can develop their public speaking and leadership skills.

We are here to serve anyone who wants to develop or hone their speaking style - from terrified budding father-of-the-bride speakers to accomplished professionals. All are made welcome at any of our friendly clubs as guests or as members.

We currently have public clubs in central Manchester and Didsbury and in-company clubs in Warrington and Chester. Guests are welcome at all clubs. We hope to open a public club in Warrington soon, which will make Toastmasters more accessible to anyone from the more western side of our region. We also welcome interest from anyone who would like to set up a club in their home town.

If you want to find out more about any of our clubs, please check out the links to each of their pages.

Happy speaking!

Welcome to Division E
A Welcome to Division E
Phil Heath DTM

This years theme is about inspiring people - people from all walks of life - inspiring them as individuals to become better speakers and communicators. Previous Division Governors Jim, Michael and Jane have inspired me to take on the challenge this year. To try and become a better leader, to offer my support to the members of Division E to do the best they can this year.

I believe that the key to our Divisional success will be in the hands of the individual member - whether they want to deliver a powerful oratory from the professional stage or whether as a shy, quiet person they want to learn how to use their voice in a way that they can be heard. To me the power of Toastmasters is unending, we are all learning from each other and I believe that the support we give in a friendly, unthreatening environment, the coaching and feedback is probably the most powerful inspiration we can give.

Think not just of speaking but how you can also give back to others by effective evaluations, by joining in the meeting organisation or by being a club officer - in other words - giving others the benefit of your leadership.

Leadership involves ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Inspiring members to strive to achieve the highest award they can during the Toastmaster year, both on the Communication and the Leadership tracks. It involves motivating the Clubs to achieve the highest award they can on the Distinguished Club programme, and set out the plans for the year to achieve those goals. Finally, it involves me as the Divisional Governor lending my support to the Area Governors in their quest for their Clubs to be the most successful they can be.

Division E is still the largest in District 71, and the fastest growing. I would like to see the hard work that all of you as members and visitors to our clubs up and down the country (literally!) is recognised this year. We can be the best - making sure that Clubs are strong and vibrant, and the number of newly chartered Clubs continues to grow at an increasing rate. I also believe that we should have fun while we do this.

So my challenge goes out to you all. Do your best - the very best you can achieve. Recognise that Toastmasters can play a valuable part in all of our lives. Tell as many people as possible and share this experience. Inspire others as you want to be inspired yourself and have a great year.

Your friend in Toastmasters
