About our club
Solent Speakers club exists to provide opportunities for people like you to boost their self-confidence, acquire and develop public speaking skills and become better communicators and leaders.
The club was launched in December 2002 and we are the only club of its kind in the Fareham and Portsmouth area providing structured practice and constructive feedback in an informal, no-risk environment. Click here for a presentation about Toastmasters and Solent Speakers.
We are affiliated to Toastmasters International, the leading, worldwide, not-for-profit organisation of speakers clubs dedicated to developing communication and leadership skills.
We are a not-for-profit community club - helping individuals (or groups) to 'make their messages memorable'

Solent President Crowned Div J Speech Champion
On Sunday 22nd April, 8 intrepid members of Solent Speakers travelled to Cheltenham to support our president, John Webber who was competing in the Division J (SW England) International Speech Contest.
The contest saw champions from the 5 areas in Division J compete for the coveted silver trophy and the opportunity to take part in the UK and Ireland Final in Wexford on May 12th.
Despite stiff competition, I am delighted to say that John was a worthy winner. I am sure that you will all join with me in whishing John best wishes for his next challenge.
